Printed circuit board production (PCB)
Metallising, etching, stripping, cleaning and more. In printed circuit board production, our pumps convey fluids that can be highly aggressive and corrosive. Reliable, safe and always at the correct pressure.
Our pumps operate spray nozzles, circulation, surge and rinsing baths in the various wet-chemical and electrochemical production steps. They are also used for conveying and treating spent wastewater.
application-overview
- Chemical metallization
- Electrolytic metallization
- Acid and alkaline etching
- Pumping and circulation of pickling solutions
- Chemical copper deposition
- Circulation of process baths to stabilize the chemical concentration
- Supply of spray etching systems and immersion baths
- Pumping of regeneration solutions
- Chemical handling in storage and supply systems
Schmitt pumps: clean solution for all flow rates in printed circuit board manufacturing
Electronic devices such as computers, TVs, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and more would not be possible without printed circuit boards (PCBs). They are therefore manufactured worldwide in large quantities in highly specialised production plants – often also in combination with SCHMITT pumps.
This is because special chemicals, some with highly aggressive and corrosive properties, are used in various process steps in PCB manufacturing. SCHMITT pumps are used here, for example, in systems for metallisation, etching, stripping, cleaning and other surface treatment processes.
