Exhaust gases contaminated with pollutants are generated in a wide range of industrial manufacturing and combustion processes. These exhaust gases must therefore be cleaned or the pollutants neutralised before the exhaust gases can be released into the environment. Our customers use gas scrubbers or wet separators for this purpose. They remove chemical and particulate contaminants from the exhaust gases using suitable liquids in the gas stream.

Acids or lyes are often used in this process. The collected, contaminated fluid is treated in wastewater treatment plants. A robust pump is required to ensure safe operation. This applies not only in terms of chemical resistance. The pump used must also reliably provide the pressure required in continuous operation to operate the spray heads. Centrifugal pumps are a central component of environmental technology systems, as they convey fluids continuously and efficiently.
