Printed circuit board manufacturing (PCB)
Metallising, etching, stripping, cleaning and more. In printed circuit board manufacturing, our pumps handle some very aggressive and corrosive fluids. Reliable, safe and always at the correct pressure.
Our pumps operate spray nozzles, circulation, cascade and rinsing baths in the various wet-chemical and electrochemical production steps. They are also used for conveying and treating spent wastewater.
Application overview
- Chemical metallisation
- Electrolytic metallisation
- Acidic and alkaline etching
- Pumping and circulation of pickling solutions
- Chemical copper deposition
- Circulation of process baths to stabilise the chemical concentration
- Supply of spray etching systems and immersion baths
- Pumping of regeneration solutions
- Chemical handling in storage and supply systems
Schmitt pumps: clean solution for all flow rates in PCB manufacturing
Electronic devices such as computers, TVs, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches and more would not be possible without printed circuit boards (PCBs). They are therefore manufactured worldwide in large quantities in highly specialised production facilities – often also in conjunction with SCHMITT pumps.
This is because the manufacture of PCBs involves the use of special chemicals with sometimes highly aggressive and corrosive properties in various process steps. SCHMITT pumps are used here, for example, in systems for metallising, etching, stripping, cleaning and other surface treatment processes.
